Ok So I dropped the ball again!!!

Hi,
Yep it has been ages again since I blogged. I was doing really well there for a while and then something happened and a few of my posts that I typed wouldn't publish and kind of got stuck in draft, wierd hey! So then I lost momentum and also got really busy.

What made me decide to start back again?
Have you seen the scrapbook city blog lately? It has been revamped and looks amazing and we have lots of exciting things coming up on the blog. I also got some of my scrapbooking mojo back and am enjoying scrapping again so have lots of things to share again!!

Lots of things have happened this year to, some awesome and some not so awesome but it is all good. Anyway I will be back later with some pictures to share.

It's time for...

Ten On Tuesday.
This week Ten on Tuesday I thought that i would list

Ten memories of Pop culture items/ memories from your childhood.
This has been totally inspired by watching  Talkin' bout your Generation. I love that show!

1. Cabbage Patch Kids- Although they have been re released, I was lucky enough to have 2 of the original ones. A "Preemie" named "Grace yuelie" that I "adopted and changed her name to "Camilla Jane" and a yellow haired doll named "Marjorie Elloise" that I adopted and changed her name to "Kimberley Elloise" I loved them!nJasmine has them now and they still have their original clothing.

2. A Ghetto Blaster- (A fancy name for a tape recorder/ radio) I thought that I was so cool because I got one  that had speakers that you could remove!!

3. Hyper Colour T shirts- I never had one but my brother got a blue/ purple tie dye look one, they were so fun!

4. Stack Hats- when bike helmets became an important tool/accessory for riding the super ugly, chunky "stack hat" was the coolest helmet you could have, they were so ugly! LOL!!!

5- Spokey Dokies- on the topic of bikes, those little plastic things that you put on the spokes of your bike wheels and they clicked together as the wheels turned while you were riding. We never had any but the kids around the block did and we used to take a couple of theirs to out on our bikes, what a crack up!!

6- Commodore 64 computer game console- We had one of these and we thought it was awesome, it would take forever for the tape deck to load the game up and coloured stripes would flash accross the screen while it was loading. I can't really remember many of the games except for Jump man Junior and impossible Mission - the tag line at the beginning of each level on this game was..... Stay a while, stay FOREVER!!! LOL!

7- Music- I was pretty obsessed with New Kids on The Block- Hanging Tough, The Right Stuff LOL!! quality music.

8-Movies- When I was little Annie was one of my favourite movies, It's A Hard Knock Life. other movies-The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink....... Molly Ringwald.

9-  Funny Face ice blocks, I used to buy them at the tuckshop at primary school with a hand full of 1 and 2 cent pieces.

10- Bubble Skirts and Ra Ra skirts......... I can't believe bubble skirts came back in, only now they are called puff ball skirts and all the teeny boppers wear them and think that they are totally cool and original!

That is my list for this week, I would love to see what are your favourite pop culture memories......

I have just one project to share tonight, I have a heap of photos of layouts to share but haven't got them off the camera, I will do that tomorrow. The project tonight was the gift that I made for Ethan's  Prep teacher for Christmas, I was really happy with how it turned out and I hoped that she liked it. She was such an amazing teacher who worked wonders with my little man and I really wanted to give her something nice that expressed our appreciation .

I will be back again soon to post those pictures and I have been playing so will have a few new layouts to share.
Take Care-

Scrappy Shares.

Hi,
I have a few layouts to share that I have done since I last blogged as well as the christmas cards that I created for the card showcase at Scrapbook city last year. I will have more layouts to share once I photograph them tomorrow. I have also added some cards I made through 2009.

Finally, just some piccies of my gorgeous boy on his 1st day of Grade 1 and one of Both of my kids that  is so sweet. Unfortunately Jazzy wasn't a willing model so no photos of her on her own!
Anyway, I will be back in the next few days to add more photos.

Ten on Tuesday!

Hi,
A big thanks to those who have found my new blog, I have been a bit of a slacko already but here I am ready to post. The last week or so has been great, We had a great day on Australia, we caught up with friends for breakfast which was lovely and loads of fun. We then checked out the Australia day festivities at Rocks riverside park in the afternoon.

Jazzy and Ethan are both back at school and so far so good. Jasmine LOVES her teacher and seems a lot more settled and relaxed this year. We are still having issues with her hearing and ears but hopefully that will get sorted out one way or another. I had 2 weeks off work to spend with the kids and also to have a few days to chill out myself and it was lovely. It was a bit tough getting back into the swing of things but it is all good!

Brad's parents spent a few days here last week and it was really nice to have them here, the kids just love when they visit.

I have been thinking about what types of things I want to record, remember and scrapbook this year and thought that I would start a weekly  blog post called " Ten For Tuesday" Each week I am going to have a topic for a list of ten things some weeks they will be about me and my memories, likes etc and others will be about my family/ kids etc. This week it is about me- given that My kiddies went back to school last Wednesday. I have been thinking a little about my school years and decided that my first Ten on Tuesday  will be ............

Ten School Memories!

1. Going to Skids Shoe shop with Mum and Mike and Trish to get fitted for Clarks school shoes at the beginning of each school year.

2. Mum taking photos on the first day of school and making us do the fake wave photo!

3. Breaking my arm playing leap frog on the oval in grade 4 during P.E. and being carried up the huge hill pathway by the P.E. teacher (she was running) to the office .

4. Doing a project on possums in grade 5 as part of the australian animals unit also getting really upset when people would call a koala a bear beacause it was a marsupial (my sister would tease the crap out mf me calling it a  koala bear and waiting for me to get upset!

5. Mum used to make us "finger salads" (meaning that salads with bite sized pieces that we would not need to use a fork to eat) thinking it was a salad made of fingers then giggling every time I had a finger salad... it became a bit of a family joke.

6. Having trouble getting long division and then the lightbulb moment, My teacher was so excited that he got me to stand on my chair and high five him and he got the whole class to cheer! (he was a pretty conservative teacher so this was really funny!)

7. Having to use our erasers to rub the scuff marks  from our school shoes of the white floors in the grade 8 building !

8. Being part of the School Musicals that my school did with our local boys school! lots and lots of fun.

9. Sitting in maths doing my art drawings (with my book on my lap) and getting busted by the maths teacher!!!

10. School dances! - the highlight of our each term!

So there you go, there is my first Ten on Tuesday.  There are so many more I could write but I stopped at 10 LOL!!!!

Please feel free to play along and join in writing your own ten school memories on your blog or if you are my friends and family that don't have blogs would love to see them on facebook. If you do decide to play along leave a comment to let me know so I can check yours out!  I am hoping to use these as inspiration for my scrapping.

Speaking of scrapping I do have a few layouts to share, yep don't fall off your chairs, I am back into scrapping!  but they are not on this computer. I will upload them later from the other computer.

Thanks for reading, I will be back soon to share more!
